01

When this notice applies

HireEGG does not apply every integrity control to every interview. The hiring organization chooses the campaign settings. The interview flow should disclose enabled permissions and controls before collection begins, and the organization is responsible for using them lawfully and proportionately.

02

Signals that may be collected

  • Camera and microphone readiness, permission state, audio or video stream, and recording when enabled.
  • Face not visible or multiple-face events, without treating a single event as proof of misconduct.
  • Tab changes, window focus, fullscreen exits, copy, paste, and unusual interruption or timing events.
  • Device, browser, network, virtual-camera, virtual-machine, and connectivity indicators where the campaign and device support them.
  • Typing consistency and timing patterns used to surface anomalies, not to identify a person conclusively.
  • Room-scan observations and companion-app status, camera, foreground, device, or sensor signals when those separate controls are expressly enabled.

03

What the signals mean

Integrity events are contextual indicators. They can be caused by accessibility tools, network instability, shared rooms, device limitations, notifications, caregiving, or accidental actions. They are not a finding of cheating, identity, or intent. Reviewers must consider the answer, event context, technical evidence, and candidate explanation.

04

Recording and room scans

Audio, video, and room scans are collected only when the relevant campaign setting is enabled and the required permission or consent has been obtained. A room scan should be limited to what is necessary for the stated integrity purpose and must not be used to collect unrelated information about the candidate's home or other people.

05

Use, access, and retention

Signals are used to protect session integrity, support review, resolve disputes, and investigate technical or security events. Access should be limited to authorized reviewers and support or security personnel. The application default for stored interview recordings is 30 days, but a customer configuration or signed agreement may set a different period.

06

Accessibility and alternatives

Candidates should contact the hiring organization before the session if a control conflicts with a disability, assistive technology, privacy constraint, shared environment, or device limitation. The organization is responsible for considering reasonable accommodations and lawful alternatives.

07

Challenge a flag

Ask the hiring organization for human review and provide relevant context. HireEGG can help locate technical records when instructed by the organization and permitted by law. Questions or requests may be sent to info@hireegg.com. Please do not send passwords, one-time codes, full payment-card details, or unnecessary identity documents by email.
